Hierin bedeuten \\(G\\) die der Mitte angreifende Belastung, \\(B\\) die Gr\u00f6sse \\(\\frac{6JE}{a^{3}}\\) und \\(D\\) eine Constante, welche von der Bettung abh\u00e4ngt. \\(k\\) die zul\u00e4ssige Beanspruchung, \\(W\\) das Widerstandsmoment, so muss sein  \\[ M\\leqq Wk = \\tfrac{J}{e}\\, k. \\]  Man erh\u00e4lt also den kleinsten zul\u00e4ssigen Wert von \\(J\\), indem man in die erste Gleichung f\u00fcr \\(B\\) und \\(M\\) die Werte \\(\\frac{6EJ}{a^{3}}\\) und \\(\\frac{J}{e}\\,k\\) einsetzt und die so entstehende Gleichung nach \\(J\\) aufl\u00f6st.
