Quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs) are an essential tool in quantum computing. They are designed to deal with quantum errors and decoherence. Most known QECCs are stabilizer codes and they can be obtained from self-orthogonal classical codes. By sharing, sender and receiver, some pairs of maximally entanglement states, one can get entanglement assisted quantum error-correcting codes (EAQECCs) from any linear code. The paper is devoted to provide several new families of EAQECCs coming from cyclic codes, many of them attaining the entanglement-assisted quantum Singleton bound.
