The authors prove strong continuity in \(L^2\) norm of solutions to the Euler system in two space dimensions with the initial vorticity in \(L^1\cap L^\infty\). Note that the approximating solutions (with the initial data in \(L^1\cap L^2\)) might be nonunique while the limit problem has the unique solution. Under the assumption on Hölder continuity of the initial vorticities this \(L^2\) stability property of solutions is uniform in time.
