Monotonicity with respect to \(p\) of the first nontrivial eigenvalue of the \(p\)-Laplacian with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions (Q2658635)

The authors establish the monotonicity with respect to \(p\) of the first positive eigenvalue of the \(p\)-Laplacian with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in a higher dimensional open, bounded, convex subset with smooth boundary. The paper generalizes earlier results by \textit{M. Bocea} and \textit{M. Mihăilescu} [Adv. Calc. Var. 14, No. 1, 147--152 (2021; Zbl 1458.35294)], and \textit{R. Kajikiya} et al. [Electron. J. Differ. Equ. 2017, Paper No. 107, 37 p. (2017; Zbl 1370.34038)].
