The dataset is based on the 95th percentile of the monthly aggregated FAPARderived from250m 8d GLASS V6 FAPAR. Potential FAPAR was predicted by fitting an ensemble ML model using globally distributed training points (cca 3 Mio) and a set of 52 biophysical covariates including several layers related to human pressure. The code for modeling potential FAPAR is openly available at https://github.com/Open-Earth-Monitor/Global_FAPAR_250m. The dataset can be used in many applications like land degradation modeling, land productivity mapping, and land potential mapping. Land potential assessment and trend-analysis using 20002021 FAPAR monthly time-series at 250 m spatial resolution, submitted to PeerJ, preprint available at: https://doi.org/10.21203/rs.3.rs-3415685/v1    Name convention  To ensure consistency and ease of use across and within the projects, we follow the standard Open-Earth-Monitor file-naming convention. The convention works with 10 fields that describes important properties of the data. In this way users can search files, prepare data analysis etc, without needing to open files. The fields are:    generic variable name: pot.fapar = Potential Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation  variable procedure combination: eml = ensemble machine learning  Position in the probability distribution / variable type: m = mean  Spatial support: 250m  Depth reference: s = surface  Time reference begin time: 20210101 = 2021-01-01  Time reference end time: 20211231 = 2021-12-31  Bounding box: go = global (without Antarctica)  EPSG code: epsg.4326 = EPSG:4326  Version code: v20230924 = 2023-09-24 (creation date)","type":"string"},"datatype":"string"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$94670005-D660-432D-9A8D-A98224E85745","rank":"normal"}],"P28":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P28","hash":"4d9bc03a8e1b83aa53e64051cf434f2095d9ba77","datavalue":{"value":{"time":"+2023-10-03T00:00:00Z","timezone":0,"before":0,"after":0,"precision":11,"calendarmodel":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q1985727"},"type":"time"},"datatype":"time"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$CC88C4FF-772B-49A4-A86B-A9BE5F47900A","rank":"normal"}],"P16":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P16","hash":"173966b88a2e510f7dda27b4646e8298d03b746a","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":6689611,"id":"Q6689611"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$D529E89E-B175-4964-9682-BEE52AEAC5B8","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P16","hash":"a56e38fb33c216a920ff0ed95ebdbd78f822354a","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":6677576,"id":"Q6677576"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$D90F2FA1-A8D8-498C-8A99-5B037E623393","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P16","hash":"8317f33fe18292f2ec44fc2b419ba91990b9da50","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":6689612,"id":"Q6689612"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$02876398-9F18-47A6-AF46-6F6E1D25F595","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P16","hash":"a616ba19795a79cfda5fa8023f9880b73a29f04d","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":73861,"id":"Q73861"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$45F67AF6-5E89-45CB-8950-D4759BEE6EA8","rank":"normal"}],"P227":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P227","hash":"61e92bfbd1195186e28bffc4668e5e0d66d0117f","datavalue":{"value":"8435318","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$E4EC9CEE-9AE1-4C52-B724-5CC780CC61FC","rank":"normal"}],"P27":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P27","hash":"a281ca7fa1a0637d8e441c957a770e2d4aa1bc5b","datavalue":{"value":"10.5281/zenodo.8435318","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$426C8D69-D97E-4A8D-9799-F9B7959D38C2","rank":"normal"}],"P163":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P163","hash":"45fcd4163b5f33e6e8c784f5522d7246c0a1a61e","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":57056,"id":"Q57056"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$5F1EEED1-76C7-4EE6-BED3-287C3850B39A","rank":"normal"}],"P1474":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1474","hash":"c175de0c7f6708150ac707ea91fe400cd6f0198d","datavalue":{"value":"v20231003","type":"string"},"datatype":"string"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$03321903-467D-4B70-8555-1041A7CA3D6B","rank":"normal"}],"P1460":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1460","hash":"d1e8073b72a070520efd3d14d4b3d2d3d03859e2","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5984635,"id":"Q5984635"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6689613$1560EDC2-6CB7-477A-8252-BAB6DB41F331","rank":"normal"}]},"sitelinks":{"mardi":{"site":"mardi","title":"Ensemble Machine Learning Prediction of Potential FAPAR: Monthly time-series 2021 and Long-Term Comparison with Actual FAPAR","badges":[],"url":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/wiki/Ensemble_Machine_Learning_Prediction_of_Potential_FAPAR:_Monthly_time-series_2021_and_Long-Term_Comparison_with_Actual_FAPAR"}}}}}
