The work extends finite-dimensional matrix theory to infinite-dimensional settings while addressing complications arising from the fact that finite potent endomorphisms do not form an ideal.\\N\\NIn 2010, \\textit{O. M. Baksalary} and \\textit{G. Trenkler} [Linear Multilinear Algebra 58, No. 5--6, 681--697 (2010; Zbl 1202.15009)] introduced the core inverse for matrices with \\(i(A) \\le 1\\) as the unique matrix \\(X\\) satisfying: \\N\\[\\NA \\cdot X = P_{\\mathcal{R}(A)} \\quad \\text{and} \\quad \\mathcal{R}(X) \\subseteq \\mathcal{R}(A), \\N\\] \\Nwhere \\(P_{\\mathcal{R}(A)}\\) is the orthogonal projection onto the range space of \\(A\\).\\N\\NFor matrices of arbitrary index, the core-EP inverse is the unique matrix \\(X\\) such that: \\N\\[\\NX \\cdot A \\cdot X = X \\quad \\text{and} \\quad \\mathcal{R}(X) = \\mathcal{R}((X)^*) = \\mathcal{R}(A^m) \\N\\]\\Nfor some \\(m \\ge i(A)\\).\\N\\NFor an arbitrary \\(n \\times n\\) matrix \\(A\\) with complex entries, let \\(\\operatorname{rk}(A)\\) denote the rank. The index \\(i(A) \\ge 0\\) is the smallest integer such that \\(\\operatorname{rk}(A^{i(A)}) = \\operatorname{rk}(A^{i(A)+1})\\). \\textit{H. Wang} in Theorem 2.1 of [Linear Algebra Appl. 508, 289--300 (2016; Zbl 1346.15003)] gives the following core-EP decomposition:\\N\\NAny \\(A \\in \\operatorname{Mat}_{n \\times n}(\\mathbb{C})\\) can be uniquely written as \\(A = A_1 + A_2\\) where:\\N\\begin{itemize}\\N\\item \\(A_1 \\in \\operatorname{Mat}_{n \\times n}(\\mathbb{C})\\) with \\(i(A_1) \\le 1\\);\\N\\item \\(A_2\\) is nilpotent;\\N\\item \\(A_1^* \\cdot A_2 = 0 = A_2 \\cdot A_1\\).\\N\\end{itemize}\\NHere \\(A_1^*\\) denotes the conjugate transpose of \\(A_1\\).\\N\\NLet \\(V\\) be an infinite-dimensional vector space over an arbitrary ground field \\(k\\). An endomorphism \\(\\phi \\in \\operatorname{End}_k(V)\\) is finite potent if there exists \\(n \\in \\mathbb{N}\\) such that \\(\\dim_k \\operatorname{Im}(\\phi^n) < \\infty\\).\\N\\NA finite potent endomorphism \\(\\phi\\) admits a \\(\\phi\\)-invariant decomposition:\\N\\[\\NV = U_\\phi \\oplus W_\\phi\\N\\]\\Nsuch that:\\N\\begin{itemize}\\N\\item \\(\\phi|_{U_\\phi}\\) is nilpotent;\\N\\item \\(W_\\phi\\) is finite-dimensional;\\N\\item \\(\\phi|_{W_\\phi}: W_\\phi \\xrightarrow{\\sim} W_\\phi\\) is an isomorphism.\\N\\end{itemize}\\NThe nilpotency index of \\(\\phi|_{U_\\phi}\\) is called the index of \\(\\phi\\).\\N\\NIn Section~3, where bounded finite potent operators are studied in connection with generalized Drazin invertibility, it is shown that every bounded finite potent endomorphism on a Hilbert space is generalized Drazin invertible (Koliha--Drazin invertible). Consequently, the adjoint of a bounded finite potent endomorphism is also generalized Drazin invertible.\\N\\NIn Section~4, where the core-EP decomposition for bounded finite potent operators is developed, a bounded finite potent endomorphism \\(\\phi\\) on a Hilbert space is considered. The key observation is that \\(W_\\phi\\) is finite-dimensional and hence closed, so that it admits an orthogonal complement,\\N\\[\\NV = W_\\phi \\oplus [W_\\phi]^\\perp.\\N\\]\\NThis induces the orthogonal projection \\(P_{W_\\phi}\\), which is fundamental to both the core-EP decomposition and the construction of the core-EP inverse. An example shows that the core-EP decomposition does not coincide with the core-nilpotent decomposition. A characterization of the cases in which these two decompositions differ is provided in terms of the AST-decomposition.\\N\\NIn Section~5, where the core-EP generalized inverse is analyzed, finite potent endomorphisms on arbitrary vector spaces endowed with an inner product over fields of arbitrary characteristic are investigated.\\N\\NIn Section~6, where the core-EP order is examined, the analysis is carried out within the framework of bounded finite potent operators.","type":"string"},"datatype":"string"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$F948999C-4FC9-4EB4-BC3D-11FDC7B3C581","rank":"normal"}],"P1447":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1447","hash":"06d91e44a16d40434b0d0b9e31da6e6e77e31f39","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":422022,"id":"Q422022"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$E2424839-A65E-449D-9469-2BF57A35B8BF","rank":"normal"}],"P226":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"de7887ac8896f76fb0219bbdc2f1520f3f1a5b3b","datavalue":{"value":"15A09","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$2FA0E945-5A35-49E1-81B8-BF1DDD4AA912","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"ba5f7486cfb64f062d1b1d8e48f356198d5bc8e7","datavalue":{"value":"15A03","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$78F7FFF2-7732-4649-A9AC-F2D11E5EFD41","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"32497e8c55e8aef7a70dfd7d4a577cedd69c36db","datavalue":{"value":"46C05","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$BD874133-3944-4AFA-B40D-567FE7ECAD9F","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"df8036d7e0b2df40115f589fca74ba4c0e7ec9e2","datavalue":{"value":"46C07","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$D9B053A3-741D-4526-9B17-92DDE18A9240","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"27b540aa20d39243896837fe77f90bc66b673569","datavalue":{"value":"46L07","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$A48A74F4-30BA-4C44-8E76-C9F6A0D07DF6","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"8948c34e793e5195a8bf306d0e010b3472404866","datavalue":{"value":"08A35","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$427C6598-F92F-4ACA-84E1-9AA49E1A3C99","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"55784bde12c4e3e975ad2c89a161a4a5dacf49d1","datavalue":{"value":"06A11","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$47559973-638E-48FF-8766-E747371A15CB","rank":"normal"}],"P1451":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1451","hash":"ac90efa64e12bf4044ab17601148971b4d246a23","datavalue":{"value":"8143720","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$54A456FC-71F3-46C7-973A-04ED0A6F693F","rank":"normal"}],"P1460":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1460","hash":"57f7fea50d2ce1b39b695c4a1313582eed405e38","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5976449,"id":"Q5976449"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$D559BABD-9A73-4134-B558-22B3DE65FD5C","rank":"normal"}],"P223":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"11a2f324f521dc2fda13721145942935a10da12a","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":307835,"id":"Q307835"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$D550664C-1BE4-4FE7-B87D-1BD999361EF7","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"fc4bd2607f90d16bbbbf99e6b21582309bda1bac","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":3589204,"id":"Q3589204"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$9AB648D4-9CA6-47B1-86C6-162AD0280030","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"b6f704c06e299da3296778a8ca141ef0db17749c","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5495757,"id":"Q5495757"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$108990EB-C3D9-4AC2-90DE-0645A725A431","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"d4b5c018d9041fd6c61926a2aecfc926a3ddf1e7","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5426979,"id":"Q5426979"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$FECE9DAB-BAEB-4CF8-8EC0-987380B10C3C","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"a2ac107224bd1cacc56d161638979c1971a6b4c8","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5375879,"id":"Q5375879"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$BD438706-9877-486B-97FB-4C8D735C28EF","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"58625b796e694b208623ddb1f2774aba20e21278","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5542581,"id":"Q5542581"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6876150$09E01B6E-371E-4BE9-8975-C256BD9BEA62","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P223","hash":"5c91ea8b076c36c5d47f66d5043f98ada592ef30","datavalue":{"va
