He proves that if \\(f\\) is continuous on the Cantor set (except for the countable set of points whose ternary expansion terminates in 2's) then the \\(2^ n\\)th partial sums of the Fourier series of \\(f\\), with respect to this system, converge to \\(f\\) uniformly as \\(n \\to \\infty\\). He also indicates how to carry out this construction for other Cantor sets with constant dissection
