Clearly, for a finite extension \\(E/F\\) of fields, \\(E\\) can be viewed as a vector space over \\(F\\). For an arbitrary finite-dimensional \\(F\\)-vector space \\(V\\), extension of scalars produces the vector space \\(V|_F^E = \\mathrm{Lin}_F(E,V)\\) of linear maps from \\(E\\) to \\(V\\). For \\(\\alpha \\in E\\), let \\(M_\\alpha\\) denote the linear map defined by multiplication by \\(\\alpha\\). Then \\(E/F\\) is called a Galois extension if for all \\(\\alpha \\in E\\), the \\(E\\)-linear endomorphisms \\(M_\\alpha|_F^E \\in\\mathrm{Lin}_E(E|_F^E, E|_F^E)\\) are diagonizable over \\(E\\). The author shows that this coincides with the usual definition, and then develops the Galois theory needed for proving the Abel-Ruffini theorem.","type":"string"},"datatype":"string"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$F0E2A7C5-8F33-4C8F-B74B-88F237D3662C","rank":"normal"}],"P1447":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1447","hash":"085e254972a59e9e276b504160ce06ca9ca46047","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":6546632,"id":"Q6546632"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$8D4B2853-3B19-4C89-A08E-99CBF35DBD68","rank":"normal"}],"P226":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"ac7ae5b0238fc8237a68a316fe1f75e776c41d8c","datavalue":{"value":"12F10","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$AF409807-4DD2-4319-8708-2915B6E738F5","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"c6ac08f962690548db91963892748a5a6f1697fb","datavalue":{"value":"97H40","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$E71025B2-8D30-490A-90D5-ABA523886C38","rank":"normal"},{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P226","hash":"7085d1aed11b3ce0758b83c44c6cd341fd748b8b","datavalue":{"value":"97H60","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$32F8B0CF-A0C8-4600-B41C-EE4ED9629CD3","rank":"normal"}],"P1451":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1451","hash":"37bd9515733dd58d8aa32df0dcd6990770bc12ea","datavalue":{"value":"8120290","type":"string"},"datatype":"external-id"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$1E1FEC6E-05DA-4CA0-92E7-5435A2C16994","rank":"normal"}],"P163":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P163","hash":"c39a117a349789e54237c0a3254f5a10c0a6517e","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":6830565,"id":"Q6830565"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$573120B5-1A68-437C-8374-B1FD6ADC3C5C","rank":"normal"}],"P1460":[{"mainsnak":{"snaktype":"value","property":"P1460","hash":"57f7fea50d2ce1b39b695c4a1313582eed405e38","datavalue":{"value":{"entity-type":"item","numeric-id":5976449,"id":"Q5976449"},"type":"wikibase-entityid"},"datatype":"wikibase-item"},"type":"statement","id":"Q6901027$3CB35125-D3C8-4D07-8609-E997CEBB1840","rank":"normal"}]},"sitelinks":{"mardi":{"site":"mardi","title":"Second Linearization of Galois Theory","badges":[],"url":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/wiki/Second_Linearization_of_Galois_Theory"}}}}}
