Math. 93, No. 3, 481--500 (1988; Zbl 0653.32020)].\\N\\NThe link between those above notions and CR diffeomorphisms of real-analytic hypersurfaces in \\(\\mathbb C^{n+1} \\) appear, for instance, in Proposition 9.2.6 and Theorem 9.9.26 of the book by \\textit{M. S. Baouendi} et al. [Real submanifolds in complex space and their mappings. Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press (1999; Zbl 0944.32040)].\\N\\NIn the present paper, the authors study holomorphic maps \\(F\\) between a smooth Levi non-degenerate real hypersurface in \\(\\mathbb C^{n} \\) and a hyperquadric in \\(\\mathbb C^{N}\\), \\(n< N, \\) with same signature \\( l\\le  \\dfrac{n-1}{2}.\\) They show in Theorem 1.1 that these holomorphic maps \\(F\\) are either CR transversal or totally degenerate provided that \\(N-n < n-1,\\) improving a result by \\textit{X. Huang} and \\textit{Y. Zhang} [in: Complex geometry and dynamics. The Abel symposium 2013, Trondheim, Norway, 2013.
