The author considers first-order temporal logics for linear and discrete times. His main result is that these logics are of no finitistic and complete axiomatization as long as the language is sufficiently rich. A similar result can be found in a paper of \textit{M. Abadi} and \textit{Z. Manna} [Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 193, 1-15 (1985; Zbl 0567.03004)].
