This paper deals with the oscillation properties of bounded solutions of the second-order half-linear neutral delay differential equation on a time scale (i.e., on any nonempty closed subset of \({\mathbb R}\)) \[ \big(r(t)\,|x^\Delta(t)|^{\beta-1}x^\Delta(t)\big)^\Delta+f(t,y(\delta(t)))=0, \] where \(x(t):=y(t)+p(t)\,y(\tau(t))\). Here, \(p(t)\) is an oscillating function. The first section contains a nice overview of the current knowledge of the continuous and discrete special cases of this equation, i.e., of the differential and difference equations of the corresponding types. The author proves general theorems (sufficient conditions) for the oscillation of every bounded solution of the equation on an arbitrary time scale. The paper is concluded by two illustrative examples -- one on the uniform discrete time scale \({\mathbb T}=h{\mathbb Z}\) and one on a general time scale.
