    Ein dreidimensionaler \textit{Riemann}-Raum wird normal genannt, wenn sich solche orthogonale Koordinaten einführen lassen, daß von dem Krümmungstensor \(R_{ik}\) die Komponenten \(R_{ik}\) mit \(i\neq k\) gleich Null werden. Fordert man überdies, daß alle \(R_{ii}\) konstant sein sollen, so kommt man auf drei Typen von \textit{Riemann}-Räumen, die eine stetige Gruppe von Bewegungen gestatten, nämlich abgesehen von den trivialen Fällen der euklidischen und nicht-euklidischen Metrik \[ \begin{aligned} \text{(I)} \quad & ds^2=dx_1^2+e^{ax_1}du_2^2+e^{2bx_1}du_3^2,\\ \text{(II)} \quad & ds^2=dx_1^2+dx_2^2+\sin^2(ax_2)du_3^2,\\ \text{(III)} \quad & ds^2=dx_1^2+dx_2^2+e^{2ax_2}du_3^2.\end{aligned} \] (V 6 A.)
