The authors prove the decay estimates of the solution for the initial value problem to the equation \(u_{tt}(t,x)+Au(t,x)+A^{\theta }u_t(t,x)=0\), \(t\in (0,+\infty )\), \(x\in \mathbb {R}^n\), where \(0\leq \theta \leq 1\) and \(A=-\Delta .\) Diffusive properties of the solutions are discussed.
