The paper is the continuation of the one in Invent. Math. 96, No.2, 231- 282 (1989; Zbl 0694.58039)], where the \(L^ 2\)-index of the signature operator with coefficients in a flat homogeneous vector bundle over a Q- irreducible arithmetic variety \(\Gamma\setminus G/K\) was studied. This index can be expressed as a sum of integrals of three types of data, two of them are locally computable data and the third are not locally computable eta densities. The present paper gives a procedure to calculate these eta densities in case of Hermitian locally symmetric spaces. The results are applied to real rank one cases.
