Let \(G\) be a reductive algebraic group over an algebraically closed field \(k\) of positive characteristic. Let \(H\) be a Levi subgroup of a proper parabolic subgroup. The title refers to the following type of result: Let \(\lambda\), \(\mu\) be dominant weights in the same coset of the root lattice of \(H\) as a sublattice of the weight lattice of \(G\). Then \(\text{Ext}^\bullet_G(\Delta_G(\lambda),L_G(\mu))\cong \text{Ext}^\bullet_H(\Delta_H(\lambda),L_H(\mu))\). Here \(\Delta(\lambda)\) is the Weyl module for \(G\) with highest weight \(\lambda\) and \(L_G(\mu)\) is the simple \(G\)-module with highest weight \(\mu\). The result is derived from a `recollement' of highest weight categories that are obtained as truncations, given by appropriate subsets of weights, of the categories of \(G\)-modules and \(H\)-modules respectively. In the same vein some identities of Ext groups over different Schur algebras are derived from an identification of one highest weight category with a truncation of another. This is inspired by the results of \textit{K. Erdmann} [in J. Algebra 180, No. 1, 316-320 (1996; Zbl 0845.20006)].
