A new upwind scheme for a finite-volume solution of hyperbolic conservation laws on triangular meshes is presented and analyzed. Some simple local limiters are constructed to enforce this scheme to satisfy a maximum principle. The introduced scheme is used for solving scalar conservation laws and Euler equations. Finally, a few numerical experiments are presented. The numerical results show that the order of convergence of the scheme varies from 1.6 to 1.9 in \(L^ 1\).
