2-designs over \(GF(q)\) (Q1205348): Difference between revisions

The author constructs a series of 2-\((n,3,q^ 2+q+1;q)\) designs of vector spaces over a finite field \(GF(q)\) of odd characteristic. The case of characteristic 2 has already been solved by \textit{S. Thomas} [Designs over finite fields, Geom. Dedicata 24, 237-242 (1987; Zbl 0627.51013)] and the author [Graphs Comb. 6, No. 3, 293-296 (1990; Zbl 0719.05010)]. A natural generalization is given by a collection of subspaces of dimension \(m\) consituting eventually a 2-\((n,m,\lambda;q)\) design.
