    Sei \(G\) eine Lie-Gruppe, \(\tau\) ein Automorphismus von \(G\) mit \(\tau^2=1\) und \(\pi\) eine unitäre Darstellung von \(G\) in einem Hilbert-Raum \({\mathcal H}\) derart, daß die Darstellungen \(\pi\) und \(\pi\circ\tau\) äquivalent sind. (Typisch hierfür ist die Situation, daß \(\pi\) in eine direkte Summe \(\pi= \pi_+\oplus \pi_-\) zerfällt mit \(\pi_+ \cong\pi_- \circ\tau\).) Überdies existiere ein unitärer Verkettungsoperator \(J\) von \(\pi\) und \(\pi\circ \tau\) mit \(J^2= 1\). (Eine solche Darstellung \(\pi\) wird reflexionssymmetrisch genannt.) Sei ferner \(H= G^\tau\) die Fixgruppe von \(\tau\) und sei \({\mathcal K}_0\) ein abgeschlossener Unterraum von \({\mathcal H}\), der unter \(\pi(H)\) invariant ist und auf dem die Form \((\cdot \mid J \cdot)\) positiv ist, wobei \((\cdot \mid \cdot)\) das Skalarprodukt auf \({\mathcal H}\) bezeichnet. Sei \({\mathcal K}\) der durch die positive Form \((\cdot \mid J \cdot)\) gemäß der Gel'fand-Neumark-Segal-Konstruktion definierte Hilbert-Raum. Die Autoren bilden mittels der Zerlegung der Lie-Algebra \({\mathfrak g}\) von \(G\) in die \(\pm 1\)-Eigenräume \({\mathfrak h}\) und \({\mathfrak q}\) von \(\tau\) eine ``duale Gruppe'' \(G^c\) (die einfach zusammenhängende Lie-Gruppe zur Lie-Algebra \({\mathfrak g}^c: ={\mathfrak h}+ i {\mathfrak q})\) und konstruieren -- ausgehend von einem konvexen Kegel in \({\mathfrak q}\) -- eine Darstellung \(\pi^c\) von \(G^c\) in \({\mathcal K}\). Dabei wird das Lüscher-Mack-Theorem [\textit{M. Lüscher} und \textit{G. Mack}, Global conformal invariance and quantum field theory, Comm. Math. Phys. 41, 203 ff. (1975)] verwendet. Die Konstruktion läßt sich für eine Klasse nicht-kompakter halbeinfacher Lie-Gruppen \(G\) in natürlicher Weise durchführen und wird exemplarisch im Fall der Gruppe \(G=SL(2,\mathbb{R})\) explizit vorgestellt. Ist \(G\) jedoch die Heisenberg-Gruppe oder die \(ax+b\)-Gruppe, so ergibt sich im Fall irreduzibler unendlich-dimensionaler Darstellungen \(\pi_+\) und \(\pi_-\) nur die Möglichkeit \({\mathcal K} =\{0\}\).
