The authors construct an associative commutative algebra of asymptotic distributions to study self-similar singular generalized solutions of strictly hyperbolic quasilinear systems of first order. They present a complete classification of the algebras of singular generators for these systems. The structure of such algebras is investigated. Necessary and sufficient conditions are found under which the systems have various types of solutions with singularities from some special subalgebras. Generalized Hugoniot conditions are derived. The authors also obtain new infinitely narrow soliton-type solutions.
