The author gives a bijective proof to the Cauchy identity for \(Sp(2n)\): \[ \prod_{1\leq i<j\leq n}(1-t_ it_ j)\prod^{n}_{i,j=1}(1-t_ ix_ j)^{-1}(1-t_ ix_ j^{-1})^{-1}= \] \[ \sum_{\mu:\ell (\mu)\leq n}sp_{\mu}(x_ 1^{\pm 1},...,x_ n^{\pm 1})s_{\mu}(t_ 1,...,t_ n). \] Here \(sp_{\mu}(x_ 1^{\pm 1},...,x_ n^{\pm 1})\) is the character of the irreducible representation of \(Sp(2,C)\) indexed by \(\mu\), and it is considered as the generating function for all symplectic tableaux of shape \(\mu\), \(\ell(\mu)\) is the number of parts of \(\mu\). The bijection is based on Berele's insertion algorithm.
