The authors consider the nonlinear periodic problem with multivalued perturbation term \[ \dot{x}(t)+A(t,x(t))\in F(t,x(t))\text , \quad t\in I=[0,T],\tag{1} \] \[ x(0)=x(T), \] where \(A:I\times V\to V^*\), \(F:I\times H\to 2^{V^*}\), \(H\) is a real separable Hilbert space, \(V\) is a dense subspace of \(H\) having structure of a reflexive Banach space with the continuous compact embedding \(V\to H\to V^*\), where \(V^*\) is the topological dual space of \(V\). In Theorem 4, existence of solutions is proven under the assumptions that \(A\) is measurable in \(t\), uniformly monotonic and hemicontinuous in \(x\), and satisfies a growth condition and a coerciveness condition, and \(F\) is compact-valued, graph measurable, lower semicontinuous in \(x\) and satisfies a growth condition. The proof applies the Leray-Schauder alternative theorem, and uses familiar tools such as the Banach converse operator theorem, Nemitsky operator, Aumann's selection theorem and Fatou's lemma. Theorem 5 proves existence and weak compactness of the solution set under different conditions on \(F\), including that \(F\) is convex-valued. Theorem 6 proves existence of solutions for the associated problem \[ \dot{x}(t)+A(t,x(t))\in \text{ext }F(t,x(t)), \quad t\in I=[0,T]\tag{2} \] \[ x(0)=x(T), \] using the Schauder fixed point theorem. Under an additional assumption on \(F\), the solution set of (2) is shown to be a dense subset of the solution set of (1). Three examples are given which apply these results: a) a quasilinear parabolic evolution inclusion, b) a nonlinear evolution equation with discontinuous right-hand side, and c) a quasilinear periodic distributed parameter control system with a priori feedback.
