The authors study the behaviour of stable solutions of the equation \[ -\mathrm{div}(|x|^{\theta} \nabla v) = | x |^l | v |^{p-1} v \qquad \text{in } \Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N \] for \(N \geq 2\) with \(p > 1\) and real constants \(\theta\) and \(l\). They obtain a monotonicity formula and an \(\varepsilon\)-regularity theorem for stable (i.e.\ Morse index zero) solutions of the equation. These results are then used to study the asymptotic behaviour of finite Morse index solutions.
