The author obtains several interesting results on the ``game of cops and robbers'', which was previously investigated by Quilliot, Aigner and Fromme, the reviewer, and others. For more details, in particular for the rules of this pursuit game, see e.g. \textit{M. Aigner} and \textit{M. Fromme}, Discrete Appl. Math. 8, 1-11 (1984; Zbl 0539.05052).
