    Bei der Integration von Klassen steifer Differentialgleichungen mit Runge-Kutta-artigen Verfahren ist gegenüber der klassischen Konvergenzordnung eine Ordnungsreduzierung zu verzeichnen. So ist die B- Konvergenzordnung, die sich auf die Klasse der dissipativen Probleme bezieht, im allgemeinen nur gleich q, der minimalen Ordnung der einzelnen Stufen des Runge-Kutta-Verfahrens (sogenannte stage-order). Die Verff. und \textit{J. G. Verwer} [Computing 36, 17-34 (1986; Zbl 0572.65053)] haben gezeigt, daß bei Anwendung auf eine Klasse halblinearer steifer Probleme die B-Konvergenzordnung \(q+1\) beträgt. Das Resultat der vorliegenden Arbeit ist, daß die B-Konvergenzordnung bei Zugrundelegung der gesamten Klasse der dissipativen Probleme im allgemeinen nur gleich q ist, und es werden die Runge-Kutta-Verfahren charakterisiert, bei denen sie \(q+1\) beträgt.
