The authors abstract the order interval \([0,u]\) of an ordered Banach space with order-unit \(u\). This interval with restricted addition and scalar multiplication gives an example of convex effect algebra in ad hoc terminology. The authors give a realization theory for the objects under study to embed into the order interval of an appropriate space of continuous functions.
