The author pursues further here his strategy, cf. [Beitr. Algebra Geom. 57, No. 4, 723--734 (2016; Zbl 1360.14018)], of exploring the consequences of \textit{C. Vial}'s results [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 106, No. 2, 410--444 (2013; Zbl 1271.14010)] on the refined Chow-Künneth decomposition of the diagonal associated to the niveau filtration under the blanket assumption to be in a situation where one has the validity of the theory of finite-dimensional motives of \textit{S.-I. Kimura} [Math. Ann. 331, No. 1, 173--201 (2005; Zbl 1067.14006)] and of \textit{P.~O'Sullivan} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 654, 1--81 (2011; Zbl 1258.14006)]. The paper deals with some questions around the Chow groups \(A^\ast X\) of complex varieties, they descend from conjectures of Bloch or of Voisin. In the present work \(X\) is taken to be a smooth projective threefold with \(h^{3,0}(X)=1\) and \(h^{1,0}(X)=\) \(h^{2,0}(X)=0\). Several conditional results are obtained, one unconditional theorem proved says: Let \(X\) be as above and assume further that it is rationally dominated by a product of elliptic curves. One has: (i) If \(\Gamma\in A^3(X\times X)\) is a correspondence such that \( \Gamma_\ast=\mathrm{id}: H^{0,3}(X) \to H^{0,3}(X)\) then \( \Gamma_\ast=\mathrm{id}: A_h^3(X) \to A_h^3(X)\), this is the subgroup of \(0\)-cycles in the kernel of the degree map. (ii) There exists a ``transcendental motive'' \(t(X)\in\mathcal M_{\text{rat}}\), responsible for \(H^{3,0}(X)\), which is indecomposable: any submotive of \(t(X)\) is either \(0\) or \(t(X)\). (iii) If in addition \(h^{2,1}(X)=0\) then \(A_0 \bigl(\mathrm{Sym}^2 h^3(X)\bigr)=0 \) and \(\mathrm{Sym}^k h^3(X)=0\) for \( k \geq 3\).
