This paper is concerned with the analysis of solutions of the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau system in the presence of large electric currents. In the first part of this paper, the authors establish some preliminary results related to the eigenvalues of the magnetic Laplacian in the presence of Dirichlet-Neumann corners. The first main result of this paper deals with steady-state solutions and their exponential decay, provided that the Ginzburg-Landau parameter is large. This result is then extended to the time-dependent case. In the final part of this paper there are obtained some weaker results for steady-state solutions in the large domain limit. The proofs combine PDEs estimates with asymptotic analysis techniques.
