A real \textit{semi-inner-product space} is a vector space \(E\) equipped with a function \([\cdot,\cdot]:E\times E\to\mathbb{R}\) which is linear in its first variable, and such that \([x,x]\geq 0\), \([x,x]=0\) iff \(x=0\), and \([x,y]^2\leq [x,x][y,y]\). The function \(\|x\|=\sqrt{[x,x]}\) defines a norm on \(E\). Conversely, if \((E,\|\;\|)\) is a smooth normed space and \(J:E\to E^*\) be the support map, then \([x,y]=\langle x,Jy\rangle\) is a semi-inner-product whose norm is equal to \(\|\;\|\). Let \(S\) be the unit sphere of \(E\). The semi-inner-product has the \textit{Lipschitz property} if for every \(x\in S\), there is a \(k\) such that for every \(y,z\in S\) we have \(|[x,y]-[x,z]|\leq k\|y-z\|\). A linear operator \(A\) on \(E\) is called \textit{adjoint abelian with respect to} \([\cdot,\cdot]\) if \([Ax,y]=[x,Ay]\) for every \(x,y\in E\). In the paper under review, the author characterizes the diagonalizable adjoint abelian operators in finite-dimensional semi-inner-product spaces with the Lipschitz property. Reviewer's remark: The author's Lipschitz property is equivalent to the condition \(\mathcal{G}_1\) of [\textit{W.\,A.\thinspace Woyczyński}, Theory Probab. Appl. 18, 350--355 (1973), reprint from Teor. Veroyatn. Primen. 18, 361--367 (1973; Zbl 0324.60041)].
