This paper develops the simple and efficient lattice Boltzmann model as well as a corresponding boundary scheme for simulating slip flow heat transfer in circular microtubes. Also, the recently developed Langmuir slip model as an alternative approach of the Maxwell slip model, which possesses a clear physical picture and keeps the Reynolds analogy, is extended to capture the velocity slip as well as the temperature jump in microtubes. The feasibility and capability of the models are validated by the Graetz problem, extended to the slip regime. This Graetz problem is a benchmark prototype for forced convection heat transfer in circular microtubes. The presented method is only limited to lower Knudsen number or the slip regime as the Knudsen layer cannot be captured. This drawback is planned to be overcome.
