Under this review, a Lie module algebra for a Lie algebra \(L\) is an algebra and \(L\)-module \(A\) such that \(L\) acts on \(A\) by derivations. The authors defined the depth algebra \(L_{\mathcal D}\) of a Lie algebra \(L\) with Lie module algebra \(A\) acts on a corresponding depth Lie module algebra \(A_{\mathcal D}\). This gives a depth functor \({\mathcal D}:(A,L)\to (A_{\mathcal D},L_{\mathcal D})\) from the category of Lie module algebra pairs to itself. This functor preserves central simplicity. This implies that the Lie algebras \(A_{\mathcal D}L_{\mathcal D}\) corresponding to faithful central simple Lie module algebra pairs \((A,L)\) with \(A\) commutative are simple. The authors also provide examples regarding this fact. By repeating \((A,L)\), the Lie algebras \(A_{{\mathcal D}^i}L_{{\mathcal D}^i}\) are simple for all \(i\in \omega\). They also show that \(A_{{\mathcal D}^i}L_{{\mathcal D}^i}\) corresponding to central simple Jordan Lie algops \((A,L)\) are simple Lie algebras.
