The article under review refines some result from [the author, ibid. 716, 29--101 (2016; Zbl 1348.58016)]. The main result extends the remainder estimate of an asymptotic formula for certain oscillatory integral. Such estimate was the main tool in the previous article to obtain a Weyl law for an elliptic classical pseudodifferential operator \(P\) on a compact connected Riemannian manifold \(M\) that commutes with the isometric action of a compact connected Lie group \(G\). In this paper, the refined estimate immediately implies an asymptotic multiplicity formula for families of unitary irreducible \(G\)-representations in \(L^2(M)\). Further applications of the remainder estimate were given in [\textit{B. Küster} and the author, J. Funct. Anal. 273, No. 1, 41--124 (2017; Zbl 1369.58023)].
