The results in this paper refer to the Cauchy problem for the semi-linear wave equation: \(u_{tt}-\Delta u+{{\mu}_1}{(1+t)^{-1}}{u_t}+{{\mu}_2}^2\) \((1+t)^{-2}u= |u|^p\), \(u(0,x)=u_o(x)\), \({u_t}(0,x)=u_1(x)\), \(x \in \mathbb R^n\) in any space dimension and \(p>1\). Under some special assumptions on \(p\) and on the coefficients of damping and mass terms, the global existence of small data solutions is proved. However, a previous local existence result is shown first. In the same time, energy estimates are proved. Further, one concentrates on a blow-up result. One proves that in case initial data satisfy some integral conditions and \(p\) is restricted to a certain interval, the solution \(u\) blows up in finite time.
