The authors establish maximal regularity in the space \(L^p([0,T];X)\) for \(1<p< \infty\) of the Cauchy problem \[ u'(t)=A(t)u(t) +f(t),\;u(0)=x \] where \(A(\cdot)\in C([0,T], {\mathcal L}(D(A(0)),X))\) and \(D(A(t))= D(A(0)), t\in[0,T]\). They also assume that for some \(p\in(1,\infty)\) and all \(f\in L^p ([0,T];X)\) and \(s\in [0,T]\) there exists a unique function \(u\in \{f\in W^{1,p} ([0,T];X)\cap L^p ([0,T], D(A(0))): f(0)=0\}\) such that \(u'(t)=A(s) u(t)+f(t)\) for a.e. \(t\in [0,T]\).
