The author of this interesting paper enlarges earlier and establishes new lower bounds on the \(L^{\infty}\)-norm of the eigenfunctions of linear differential operators of order n and of their derivatives, respectively. Further, some open questions are pointed out. The paper is well organized and easily readable.
