An arithmetic system with S4-modality B (to be interpreted either as belief or as intuitive provability) is described. Some schemata (called versions of Church's thesis) expressing recursive enumerability of truth predicate for sublanguages of this language are stated and discussed. Some philosophical arguments (Kalmar's on Church's thesis, Wang's on proving consistency) are discussed in terms of the connective B.
