We apply a simple technique based on Mackey type orbit analysis and the oscillator representation to give explicit \(L^p\) estimates for the matrix coefficients of unitary representations of \(G\), a simple and simply connected split group of exceptional type defined over a local field \(F\), thus providing a quantitative version of Kazhdan's property (T) for such a group.
