Leja sequences are inductively defined sequences of points for polynomial interpolation. In this paper, improved bounds on Lebesgue constants for polynomial interpolation on the unit interval and on the complex unit disk using these Leja sequences are derived. In the real case, the bounds from earlier papers are reduced roughly by one order, and, in the complex case, one can resign a logarithm-term in the aforementioned estimate under suitable conditions.
