Let \(A(kG)_ s\) be the stable Auslander-Reiten quiver of a p-modular group algebra. The author shows how to construct a subadditive function on a connected component of \(A(kG)_ s\) (compare Proposition 2.2 of \textit{P. Webb} [Math. Z. 179, 97-121 (1982; Zbl 0479.20008)]). If p is odd, the tree class of the component is not a Euclidean diagram.
