The authors gives unified proofs of the well-known Hölder regularity of locally bounded solutions to parabolic equationswhose prototye are parabolic \(p\)-Laplace equation and the porous medium equation. This approach is based on expansion of positivity that is at the heart of any form of Harnack estimates. In few words the expansion of positivity asserts that the measure of the positivity set of a non-negative super-solution \(u\) to over a space cube at some time level translates into quantitative information regarding the positivity of \(u\) in an expanded fashion, both in space and in time. The proofs make no use of logarithmic energy estimates.
