This note is a continuation of a previous paper by the author [J. Differ. Geom. 50, 129--146 (1998; Zbl 0956.14015)]. It is proved that by applying Faltings' \(p\)-adic Hodge theory, the author's method also leads to the equivalence of Hodge numbers (a result previously known via motivic integration).
