The projectively flat Finsler metric (p.f.F.m.) was first studied by D. Hilbert, G. Hamel and others. L. Berwald, P. Funk examined p.f.F.m. with constant flag curvature. Z. Shen introduced the \(S\) curvature. D. Bao and C. Robles showed that all Randers metrics of constant flag curvature \(K = \lambda \) have constant \(S\) curvature \(S = (n+1)cF\). X. Chen, X. Mo and Z. Shen showed that if \(F\) is a Finsler metric of scalar curvature and \(S\) is almost isotropic: \(S = (n+1) (cF+\eta )\), \(c = c(x)\), \(\eta = \eta (x,y)\) is a closed 1-form, then the flag curvature is given by \[ K = 3 \frac{c_{x^{m}}y^{m}}{F} + \sigma, \quad \sigma = \sigma (x) . \] In the paper a theorem is proved which gives a condition for \(K\), when \(F = \alpha +\beta \) is a projectively flat Randers metric with isotropic \(S\) curvature, or locally Minkowskian \((c=0)\). The cases \(c = \frac{1}{2} \) and \(c = -\frac{1}{2}\) are also examined.
