The author considers the holomorphic bundles \(\{{\mathcal E}_\alpha\}\) over degenerate curves \(\Sigma\) expressed by \(\{\Sigma_\alpha\}\), and gives the degenerations of Hitchin systems having the Hamiltonians \[ H_{\alpha,j,k}=\int_{\Sigma\alpha}{\mathcal V}_{\alpha,j,k}\text{Tr}(\phi^j_\alpha). \] Here \(\phi_\alpha\) is the \(\text{Mat}_N(C)\) valued Higgs field, and the weight \({\mathcal V}_{\alpha,j,k}\) is holomorphic \((1-j,1)\)-differential. He describes here spin generalization of elliptic Calogero-Moser model with Hamiltonian \[ H=\sum_{i=1\sim N}p^2_i/2+\sum_{1\neq j}\text{Tr}(S_iS_j){\mathcal P}(z_i-z_j), \] and elliptic extension of Gaudin model with \(H_a=\sum_{b\neq a}\text{Tr}(T_aT_b)/(w_a-w_b)\) as the degenerations of Hitchin systems. Next, he considers the case of the compact curve of genus \(g>2\), and gives a spectral curve \(S\) and action-angle variables. Furthermore, he considers genus \(g\) curves with \(L\) punctures, and writes down the formula for the solution \(\phi\) of the main equation. Schrödinger equations for his wave functions coincide with the critical level Kniznik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equations.
