This is a continuation of \textit{L. Chiantini} et al. [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl. 38, No. 2, 656--681 (2017; Zbl 1371.65038)] in the sense that there the authors also wrote down the optimal shape for Kruskal's identifiability for symmetric tensors, i.e. for the additive decompositions of homogenous polynomial, and raised the task to go beyond this criterion, under some assumptions. For degree \(d\) homogeneous polynomials in \(n\)-variables the datum is a given finite subset \(S\) of \(\mathbb {P}^{n-1}\). Here the tool is the Hilbert function of \(S\) and the Caylay-Bacharach property. They apply their criterion to analyze in detail the case \(n=3\), \(d=7\). Then for any \(d\) they consider uniqueness, up to a cubic form.
