Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In [\textit{A. A'Campo-Neuen}, ``Note on a counterexample to Hilbert's fourteenth problem given by P. Roberts'', Indag. Math., New Ser. 5, No. 3, 253--257 (1994; Zbl 0839.13004)], a \(12\)-dimensional commutative unipotent algebraic subgroup \(H_0\) of \({\mathrm {SL}}_{19}(k)\) was constructed such that the algebra of \(H_0\)-invariant polynomials for the natural action of \(H_0\) on \(k^{19}\) is not finitely generated. In the paper under review, the author constructs a certain extension \(H\) of \(H_0\) by a one-dimensional torus such that \(H\subset {\mathrm {SL}}_{19}\) and \(H\) is epimorphic in \({\mathrm {SL}}_{19}\), i.e, there are no nonconstant regular functions on \({\mathrm {SL}}_{19}/H\).
