The authors define a 2-place function \(\oplus\) and another \(\otimes\) from [a,b]\(\times [a,b]\) to [a,b] satisfying commutativity, associativity and some other properties, and call them pseudo-addition and pseudo- multiplication, respectively. The concept of pseudo-addition has been used in defining fuzzy measure and pseudo-multiplication has been used for defining fuzzy integrals. Finally, the authors prove that only under certain restrictions the integral, defined here, reduces to Sugeno's integral.
