Given a representation of a quiver and a chosen basis in the underlying vector spaces, the corresponding coefficient quiver has vertices labeled by the basis elements, and to each arrow in the original quiver put an arrow between all pairs of basis elements such that the corresponding matrix element of the representation is non-zero. A representation is called a tree module if the coefficient quiver is a tree. C. M. Ringel asked the following question: Does there exist a tree module for every wild quiver and every root? The present paper gives an affirmative answer in the case of the generalized Kronecker quiver (having two vertices and \(m\) arrows from the first vertex to the second). The starting point is that the \(m\)-dimensional torus acts on the moduli space of stable representations. For a coprime root, the torus fixed points in the moduli space correspond to indecomposable tree modules.
