Let \(G\) be a semisimple noncompact Lie group with finite center and \(K\) a maximal compact subgroup of \(G\). The Cramér theorem for Gaussian measures on \(R^ n\) says that if for two probability measures \(p\) and \(q\) the convolution product \(p*q\) is Gaussian, then both \(p\) and \(q\) are Gaussian. The author proves the Cramér theorem for \(K\)-invariant Gaussian measures on \(G/K\). For his proof, the author uses a kind of Abel transform of \(K\)-invariant measures on \(G/K\).
