The 2D flow of a non-Newtonian fluid is studied in the paper. This flow is governed by the equations \[ \begin{gathered} \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}+(v\cdot\nabla) v-\text{div}\,T(D) +\nabla p=f,\quad \text{div}\,v=0,\quad x\in\Omega,\;\tau<t<\infty, \\ v=0,\quad Tn\cdot n=0,\quad x\in\partial\Omega,\;\tau<t<\infty, \\ v(x,\tau)=v_\tau,\quad x\in\Omega,\;\tau\in\mathbb{R}, \end{gathered} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^2\) is a bounded domain with a smooth boundary, \(v\) is the velocity field of the fluid, \(p\) is the pressure, \(v_\tau\) is the initial velocity field, \(n\) is the unit outward normal vector, \(T(D)\) is the tensor with the components \[ T_{ij}(D)=2\mu_0 (\epsilon+| D|^2)^{-\alpha/2}D_{ij}-2\mu_1\Delta D_{ij},\quad D(v)=\frac{1}{2}(\nabla v+(\nabla v)^T), \] \(\mu_0,\mu_1,\alpha,\epsilon\) are positive constants and \(0<\alpha<1\). In their previous papers of 2005--2013, the authors established the existence and regularity of solutions to the problem as well as the existence of the pullback attractor. The \(H^4\)-boundedness of the pullback attractor is obtained in the present article by using the Galerkin method.
