The stability of plane Couette flow for viscous incompressible fluid in a two dimensional slab domain is considered in the paper. A fluid occupies domain \(\Omega=[-\pi,\pi]\times (0,1)\). The velocity \(v(x,y,t)\) and the pressure \(p(x,y,t)\) satisfy to the Navier-Stokes equations. \[ \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}-\nu\Delta v+(v\cdot\nabla)v+\nabla p=0,\quad \mbox{div}\,v=0,\quad \quad\quad(1) \] where \(\nu=const>0\) is the viscosity. The flow is periodic in \(x\) direction. Different boundary conditions are met on the bottom \(\Gamma_0=\{y=0\}\) and on the top \(\Gamma_1=\{y=1\}\). \[ \begin{array}{l} v\cdot n=0\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_0\cup\Gamma_1, \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ v=(a,0)\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_1,\quad \quad\quad\quad \quad\quad\quad \quad\quad(2) \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ S(v)\cdot n\cdot\tau+\alpha(v-(b,0))\cdot\tau=0\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_0. \end{array} \] Another type of boundary conditions is \[ \begin{array}{l} v\cdot n=0\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_0\cup\Gamma_1, \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ S(v)\cdot n\cdot\tau+\alpha_1(v-(a,0))\cdot\tau=0\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_1,\quad \quad\quad\quad \quad\quad(3) \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ S(v)\cdot n\cdot\tau+\alpha_0(v-(b,0))\cdot\tau=0\quad \mbox{on}\ \Gamma_0. \end{array} \] Here \(a=const\) is the velocity at the top boundary, \(b=const\) is the velocity at the bottom boundary, \(n\) is the unit outward normal to the boundary, \(\tau\) is is the tangential vector, \(\alpha,\alpha_0,\alpha_1\) are the constants of slip length, \(S(v)\) is the stress tensor, \(S(v)=\mu(\nabla v+(\nabla v)^T)\). \par It is proved that under certain conditions on constants \(a,b,\mu,\alpha\) the plane Couette flow is exponentially stable for the problem (1), (2). It is also proved that the plane Couette flow is exponentially stable for the problem (1), (3) under the certain conditions on constants \(a,b,\mu,\alpha_0,\alpha_1\).
