The authors investigate the existence of a classical weak solution for the 2-D incompressible inviscid Euler equation, with given compactly supported initial vorticity. The main objective is to prove that a weak limit of an approximate solution sequence is a classical weak solution, which satisfies certain integral and function-space conditions. In this note, the authors, after formulating the problems in the form of theorems, are successful in proving the existence of these solutions, with the given vorticity constraints. They also show that the weak convergence is preserved by the flow. The authors do not offer any practical fluid flow applications as a direct result of their proof.
